Hands Of Love

Deb: We want to stress how valuable the chiropractic care was for the babies right from day one. The difference in their mood and behavior was extreme. Carol taught us how to let them suck on our finger to smooth out the bones at the top of their mouth, and how to relax a ligament at the base of Erik's spine to relax his muscles and ease his discomfort. We would do these things everyday, and that seemed to calm him down between trips to Minneapolis for treatment. After a visit to Carol's office, we always saw an immediate improvement in his disposition, and he stopped spitting up.

Also, the doula support was so valuable for us that I have since helped my friends by providing them with the same support.

One family I helped had a horrible first birth when they were alone at the hospital. After I provided doula support with the second birth, the husband adamantly proclaimed, "Everyone should be forced to come to the hospital with one or more doulas to help the husband!"

I was so pleased to learn that Deb had helped another woman in labor. All I have ever asked of the families I have helped was to have them offer the same assistance to someone else in labor. If we all help each other, birth may again be viewed as a natural and normal occurrence associated with life on this planet.
