All the rest of us watched in awe, cried softly, and did what we could to capture on film the baby's rapid roll out of the canal. The baby rolled through Jeannie's hands and felt the welcome embrace of Jan's hands as she lifted her up to Shannon.
| Unfortunately, the mother who does all the work of birth rarely witnesses the miracle of her child's birth. Therefore, I carefully filmed most of the labor and delivery. I wanted to make sure that Shannon saw what a wonderful job she had done. She may have been experiencing a sense of chaos within, but the rest of us were in awe of her calm exterior. |
